In the winter of 2024, a Malaysian mother and daughter travel to Guangdong, China, to trace their family's past. Armed with nothing but grainy footage from a 1995 visit, they navigate a landscape transformed by modernisation, unsure if anything remains. As they follow faint clues through an ever-changing country, what they uncover challenges their expectations and reshapes their understanding of home, history, and belonging. ​This documentary was filmed entirely on an iPhone.
