THE SEAWEEDERS
This is one of the last remaining seaweed huts in Wales. For generations, women gathered here, hand-washing seaweed on the shore, drying it on the sandy floor of the hut, then sending it south to be made into the Welsh delicacy laver bread.
This series is part of a larger work-in-progress exploring the history, cultural relevance, and future potential of seaweed.
