Erika Lau is a Malaysian-born British photographer, documentary filmmaker, and ecologist, whose work centres around climate and social justice.

She holds two Master’s degrees with Distinction: Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation from Imperial College London, and Documentary Film from the University of the Arts London.

 

Her recent work includes short documentary "Limbo (2024)", which was Nominated for an award at the Big Syn International Festival, the world's biggest sustainability film festival. Previously, she worked as a postgraduate researcher at the Zoological Society of London, contributing to the conservation of the world's rarest primate, the Hainan Gibbon.
