Erika Lau is a Malaysian-born British photographer, documentary filmmaker, and ecologist, whose work focuses on environmental issues, migration, and culture.
She holds two Master’s degrees with Distinction: Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation from Imperial College London, and Documentary Film from the University of the Arts London.
Her recent work includes short documentary "Limbo (2024)", which was Nominated for an award at the Big Syn International Festival, the world's biggest sustainability film festival. She has also collaborated with clients including The R Collective and Redress. Previously, she worked as a postgraduate researcher at the Zoological Society of London, contributing to the conservation of the world's rarest primate, the Hainan Gibbon.
