ERIKA LAU
Stories at the intersection of ecology, people, and power

Erika Lau is a British-Malaysian photographer and filmmaker whose work explores environmental issues, culture, and the relationship between people and place. Alongside her documentary work, she creates educational content for Wildscreen charity and short-form explainers for social media.
She holds two Master’s degrees with Distinction: Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation from Imperial College London, and Documentary Film from the University of the Arts London.
Previously, she worked as a postgraduate researcher at the Zoological Society of London, contributing to the conservation of the Hainan Gibbon, the world’s rarest primate.
